Wishlist #1

Each week, I will be doing a post on 3 items that I would absolutely die for!
Here are the first three items that are on my want list!

Currently lusting over:
  1. Burberry Prorsum Studded Garadine Trench Coat. If I can't get my hands on this, which is very likely, then I'm making my own! THE END.
  2. Gianmarco Lorenzi Double Platform Gold Swarovski Crystallized Pumps. All I can say is - every girl's dream come true.
  3. Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Alma MM Noir Tote. I have wanted this bag for as long as I can remember! I was stupid enough to miss out on it once, I don't know what I was thinking... but I won't make that same mistake again!

Nails my way! #5

So I have become a huge fan of gel nails, and I have to say I'm crazy addicted to them! I have tried out several styles, but I just have so many more in my mind that I want to do! They are just amazing, last ages, up to 4 weeks to be exact, don't chip, fade, break, etc. I am simply in love with them.

I will be doing a post on each of the different styles I've had in the past! Check out one of my most loved designs!

These blinged out beauties were one of my favorite designs, I'm absolutely crazy about the colour black! I don't really wear much colour, only accessories, so these also went perfectly with my whole look and they were just so chic and elegant!  (Told you I was crazy about cocktail rings!)

Ouch.

My teeth are killing me!!! There is nothing worse than having a toothache. Nothing.
Last night, I was chewing on some coconut peanuts when I suddenly felt a sharp pain in one of my teeth. I didn't think it was anything serious, until I woke up the next morning with the whole left side of my face aching, and practically feeling like I could die. Well it turns out, one of my teeth is infected and IT DIED. I'm terrified to death of what they're going to do with it. I read around on the internet a bit, and also asked my friend who had the same thing happen to her two weeks ago, and she didn't really have anything good to say about it. Root canal treatment, removing the damaged teeth, these are just a few of the terrible things they might do to my poor tooth.
I'm absolutely terrified. I have these childhood memories back when I had so much trouble with my teeth, it always comes back to haunt me. Braces after braces and pulling out my beautiful healthy teeth one after the other, I just seem to get over it.
But this pain is just too much to take, now I just wish I was sitting at the dentists already, because it's reallly hurting me. Shame I have to wait til Monday, because my dentist doesn't work on weekends. I haven't eaten properly since yesterday, don't feel like talking, uuuuuugh I just wish everything would be ok already.
Monday, hurry up! Pain, be gone! :( Please?

Her hair is Harlow gold, her lips sweet surprise...

She's got Bette Davis eyes!
I will always love this song! ♥

What I Wore Today

I love love love blacks & whites with dramatic colours!
I'm a huge fan of neutral colours, my wadrobe basically exists of black and white, and a few nude, gray, and silver/gold colours! I do love to mix them up with bright shades though! I especially love fire engine red, hot pink, royal blue and as of lately I'm really loving pastel colours too! But let's not forget about animal print either!

Last week I wore this red blazer, which I totally forgot I had! I found it hidden next to my other blazers! (You have to know that I'm obsessed with blazers & jackets, I have a million in different shapes, colours and styles, so sometimes I have trouble keeping track of them... Eek!) But I'm definitely not going to lose sight of this gorgeous red one again, because it's absolutely lovely!

As my post title says, when you're in doubt, wear red! You can never go wrong. xoxo

How to get a flawless summer tan

Now that summer's finally here, we all want that beautiful golden glow, the kind brazilian models sport on the runway, the perfect bronzed tan which makes your skin look and feel amazing.
It might sound crazy, but you too, can achieve the most effortless glowing bronze skin, without any bronzers, fake tan, or tanning beds!

I get very tanned every summer, without any fake bake products, no spray tans, no tanning beds, no bronzing lotions, nothing! All naturally!
People always ask me, "Where do you tan? Are you naturally this tanned? Do you use spray tan?"
Well, I'll be honest, as I said, I'm actually not a big fan of tanning beds/solariums, I very much prefer tanning outside in the sun naturally. I just love the feeling of laying in the sun with some water sprinkled all over your body and just relaxing, soaking up the sun.
This is what I've been waiting for all winter! So I could just lay back and enjoy every moment.

I know that a lot depends on a persons skin type, I have olive skin, so obviously tanning is much easier for someone with darker skin, but I believe everyone can achieve that perfect summer look!

Last year we got insanely tanned with my boyfriend in practically just a few days!

There are of course tips & tricks which help boost your progress!
Here are some of my (all natural) tips which are bound to work wonders:

1. My first advice is, before you even do anything, EXFOLIATE!
It's important to rub away the dead skin cells or any loose, rough skin and oils before you go out in the sun.
If you don't do this, there's a chance you will end up with an uneven tan!

2. The second most important thing you should know is to NEVER ever go sunbathing with makeup on.
I know some people who go to the beach in full party makeup and it's just ridiculous. Not only do you look like a clown, but you're damaging your skin too!
I love makeup, because I think it's a great way of expressing yourself, and it's truly like art, where you can just let your imagination run wild, but please. Not for tanning. Not even eyeliner, or lipstick. I'm serious. Try using lip balm instead, and make sure you remove any excess makeup.
You don't want to have spots on your face and your skin to look blotchy for the rest of your life, do you?
It's really really important.

3. Try products with carotene and caffeine in them, they enchance tanning and the result will be an even deeper, richer tan!
There are a lot of tanning lotions on the market that contain both of these ingredients!
You can also get beta-carotene in pill forms, but to be honest, I've never tried those and don't plan to either! A great substitute is to drink carrot juice, you can mix apple, kiwi, any sort of fruit into it if you don't like the taste, it's also nice if you add some ginger too!
Carrot's contain carotene which boost and intensify tanning!

4. Glitter tanning oil/lotion. Trust me it's amazing!
The glitter attracts the sun rays, so your tan will be even better, I guarantee you! In some countries, you can get tanning lotions and oils which already have the glitter in them, but if you can't find any, don't worry! You can just mix your own glitter in it! It's easy as that!
I suggest you use fine glitter, almost like powder, and not chunky glitter, because you don't want to look like a pole dancer... Do you?
The glitter will add a gorgeous sparkle to your skin. Not only will it make your tan better, it will also provide you with an instant glow!

5. Cocoa butter works wonders!
Yes, I know that people bake goodies with cocoa butter, but believe me, it also works wonders when it comes to sunbaking!
Once you've achieved a nice tan, you can start using it to intensify your tan even more, and be even more bronzed!
I usually get mine at a pharmacy, you can ask for it melted, or in a bar, which looks just like soap. Just rub it on your skin and you're done!
It will make it super smooth and moisturize your skin along with giving you a better tan!

6. Tan near the water, or in the water on a mattress.
If you go in the water every 20 minutes or so, you'll tan much easier! Water reflects and intensifies the sun rays!

7. The last, but most important one.
If your skin is sensitive, you're fair skinned, or you just want protection against harmful UVB rays, please don't forget to use sunscreen!
I personally don't use any, and never have in my life, but that's my personal choice. I've only ever been sunburnt once in my life, thanks to my naturally olive skin. That is why I don't really feel the need to use spf 50 sunscreens, but I do always encourage everyone to use it though, nobody wants a bad sunburn, which can later of course, lead to more serious problems.

HAPPY TANNING! I'm off to soak up the sun in my garden! xoxo

Glitter & Rhinestone Dreams ♥

Help me out!
I've been wanting a pair of these amazing amazing high heels for as long as I can remember, and I've finally decided on getting a pair! I can't decide which colour I should get though.
I'm definitely getting a glitter pair, not the rhinestone version, but the question is which one?!
The 4 available colours are: Gold, Black, Red & Purple!
( ps the Pink has to be my absolutely favorite, it's just too cute & Barbie-like, but it's out of stock unfortunately... )

I was thinking maybe the Gold, because I don't have many gold shoes and it goes great with nude tones, with my jewelry, and well, with just about anything!

Then there's the Black. I love black, but the reason why I'm hesitating is because I just have sooo many black shoes. I feel like it will just look like all the others... And it just doesn't stand out as much as the colourful ones.

And finally there's the Purple and the Red! I looove red accessories, I have red bags, blazers, rings, etc, so it's definitely not a colour that I wouldn't wear, I just don't know if it would go with everything though.  Oh, and let's not forget, I don't want to look like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz!

And the Purple, well... I think it's safe to say I don't even know if I have ANYTHING that's purple! Oh, yeah, a short trench coat which I don't wear! A single item of clothing! Great.
But I just love this shade of purple so much though.

So here I am trying to decide between these 4 pairs! Kill me now!
I think I'm going to go with the Gold.

Nails my way! #4

So I have become a huge fan of gel nails, and I have to say I'm crazy addicted to them! I have tried out several styles, but I just have so many more in my mind that I want to do! They are just amazing, last ages, up to 3-4 weeks to be exact, don't chip, fade, break, etc. I am simply in love with them.

I will be doing a post on each of the different styles I've had in the past! Check out these cute Hello Kitty nails, they turned out so girly and fun!

So after all the bling, I decided to tone it down a little, but only a little! I wanted french, but with a twist! So that's  how these nails were born! I actually kept the crystals from my previous nail design on my pinky, if you haven't noticed! These were so much fun, so girly and cute and they were just really pretty with everything I wore. I got compliments wherever I went! I miss these too!

My newest purchases

How cute is my new ruffly turquoise cardigan and fluffy powder pink bolero?!
I bought these not too long ago, they are perfect for spring! I just love pastel colours!

New Yorker - $18
H&M - $20

Also bought this gorgeous gold & aqua necklace today to go with my summer outfits! It will look perfect once I'm nice and tanned!

H&M - $10

Today's menu:

Tagliatelle pasta with creamy garlic & herb prawns, by me!
I made this same pasta with bacon the other week, kind of like a carbonara, but it was time for a change so I decided to mix it up a little with some prawns! I just love to cook!
