Healthy Eating: The Best Broccoli You've Ever Tasted!

I've always cared about my health, and tried being healthy throughout my life, but for the past 2 years I've just been so slack, but most of all, I was so busy that I often didn't have time to make a proper meal & just ordered food or ate somewhere else.
This Monday I decided that I have to put an end to this, and start eating healthy again. I just miss being full of energy and feeling great, because that's how you feel when you eat the right things.
If you eat healthy, you'll feel healthy, and most of all, you will look healthy too! This is my main goal, to feel & look super, especially now that summer is almost here!

Some of you may not know that broccoli is super good for you, it is one of the healthiest vegetables you can eat! Dark green veggies & leafy greens are essential for your body.
Here are 10 benefits of this green yumminess:

Nervous System
Broccoli contains a high amount of potassium, which helps maintain a healthy nervous system and optimal brain function, as well as promotes regular muscle growth.
Blood Pressure
Along with a high amount of potassium, Broccoli also contains magnesium and calcium that help regulate blood pressure.
Vitamin C
One cup of broccoli contains the RDA of vitamin C, an antioxidant necessary for fighting against free radicals. Moreover, vitamin C is an effective antihistamine for easing the discomfort of the common cold.
Bone Health
Broccoli contains high levels of both calcium and vitamin K, both of which are important for bone health and prevention of osteoporosis.
Sun Damage
Broccoli is helpful in repairing skin damage thanks to the glucoraphanin it contains which helps the skin to detoxify and repair itself.
Immune System
One cup of broccoli bolsters the immune system with a large dose of beta-carotene. Trace minerals, such as zinc and selenium, further act to strengthen immune defense actions.
Cancer Prevention
Broccoli contains glucoraphanin, which with the body processes into the anti-cancer compound sulforaphane. This compound rids the body H. pylori, a bacterium found to highly increase the risk of gastric cancer. Furthermore, broccoli contains indole-3-carbinol, a powerful antioxidant compound and anti-carcinogen found to not only hinder the growth of breast, cervical and prostate cancer, but also boosts liver function.
Diet Aid
Broccoli is high in fiber, which aids in digestion, prevents constipation, maintains low blood sugar, and curbs overeating. Furthermore, a cup of broccoli has as much protein as a cup of rice or corn with half the calories.
Eye Health
Studies have shown that the carotenoid lutein helps prevent age-related macular degeneration and cataracts, as well as possesses anti-cancer effects. Additionally, broccoli is a good source of vitamin A that is needed to form retinal, the light-absorbing molecule that is essential for both low-light and color vision.
Heart Health
The carotenoid lutein may also slow down or prevent the thickening of arteries in the human body, thus fighting against heart disease and stoke. The B6 and folate in broccoli also reduce the risk of atherosclerosis, heart attack, and stroke.

Isn't that just amazing?! I want to eat broccoli all day!

So for starters, I wanted to share with you guys a great broccoli recipe which you can use either as a side dish, or just a snack when you're feeling hungry! It is so easy to make and it's just amazing and full of flavors!
Remember that vegetables don't have to be boring, if you use the right spices & flavors, you'll be blown away by the end results!

Here's a picture of my dish which I just made, and it took me about 5 minutes preparation, and 20-25 minutes cooking time!
What you'll need:
(You can double the amount of everything listed if you want  a bigger portion)

2 bunches of broccoli (about 500gr)
half a cup of pine nuts (I used walnuts this time)
half of a lemon
4 cloves of garlic
any kind of cheese
kosher salt / coarse sea salt
black pepper

As an extra health boost I also added some ground flexseeds, which are great for you & have so many benefits, one of them being that they are full of Omega-3! You can just sprinkle a little bit over the broccoli when it's done.

...and that's all!

So what you need to do first is break the broccoli into individual small pieces. Then you need to wash them, but before placing them into the tray, make sure they are dried & not wet, because the results won't be as good otherwise! So once that's done, pour some olive oil over it, about 5tbps, a hint of coarse sea salt, about 1 tbps, and black pepper. Slice up the 4 cloves of garlic and throw that in the tray as well. Of course you can put more or less of everything depending on how you like it, this is just my taste & how I like to season it. I don't usually use measuring techniques or spoons, I just use my eye for the measurement part, haha!

Ok, so once all that's done just put it in the preheated oven at 200-220C, or 420F, and let it roast for 20-25 minutes.

Now for the best part... once it's nicely roasted, take it out of the oven, and zest a lemon over it, and also squeeze half of a lemon's juice all over the broccoli! Add a little bit more olive oil, about 1 1/2 tbps, sprinkle with the roast pine nuts, and add some kind of grated cheese. I used smoked cheese this time, but it's also lovely with parmeson, or any other cheese really. Use what you like best!

My mom and dad also tasted it and my dad couldn't believe how good they were! He never though broccoli could be so good! (and so healthy, which is what's most important) Trust me, with all these flavors, it's just amazing! So yummy indeed, that I'm going to be making them again tomorrow!

Enjoy!

What I Wore Today #31

I have been so slack with my blog lately. I'm really sorry to everyone!
I enjoy writing it so much, and posting all sorts of things, but I really haven't had much time to come online recently.

I am planning on posting lots of new pictures, and posting daily outfit posts, also I have started writing a big SALES post, which will feature everything that I bought during the major sales that were available in stores worldwide! I bought lots of things which I love so much, and I hope you guys will love them too!
Also, I will be starting a Makeup By Me section, where I will feature some of my work, so you can see what I get up to on my weekdays!
Aaaand, I recently did a FOR SALE post too, and I ended up selling almost everything. The good news is, I have lots more items which I'm hoping to sell, so I will be adding more items and also doing a completely new post where you can browse lots of clothes, bags, shoes & accessories!

For now, here is an outfit post, which features a look which I wore a while ago for a night out!
Hope you like it. xoxo

One of my favorite looks to date! I just ADORE faux fur! This one is from Pull & Bear! I had my eye on it for a while but they didn't have it in my size, I noticed there was one on the mannequin in the store window though, and lucky me, it was just my size! So that's how I finally got my hands on this gorgeous piece!

Tackle the January sales with online shopping

The January sales are finally here, offering fantastic opportunities to grab a real bargain, but if (like many) you dread the thought of an embattled trip to the local shopping centre, why not shop online instead? Here are a few top tips on how to get the most out of your virtual retail therapy.

1. Look out for discount codes
Just as on the high street, many online stores offer great discounts and sales, and savvy shoppers should make a point of looking out for special discount codes and limited-time offers whilst browsing online. There are plenty of websites devoted to aggregating promotional discount codes from all over the web - all it takes is a quick search, and you can make some serious savings on everything from clothing and electricals to unique experience days.
2. Gift wrap
One big advantage of shopping online is the opportunity to have any gifts pre-wrapped - saving you the hassle of grappling with sellotape and scissors prior to a birthday or occasion. The January sales offer a prime opportunity to pick up some great value gifts at knock-down prices - so even if that birthday isn't for a couple of months, you can always shop now and store it away in anticipation. Some exceptionally thrifty shoppers even wait until the sales start on Boxing Day to order their belated Christmas gifts online - though this option probably won't suit everyone!
3. Order from a reputable site
If you're planning on buying from slightly more niche sites that aren't run by major retailers, it's definitely worth checking that the store is safe by searching for reviews from other consumers. You can also look out for reliable indicators such as a secure 'https://' address at the checkout screen, usually accompanied by a small padlock symbol in the address bar, which indicates that the site is secure and safe to use.

Whether you're looking for household essentials, the latest fashion, family entertainment or top gifts, home shopping at isme.com is quick, easy and convenient. With next day delivery, free returns and a handy 'buy now pay later' scheme, it's an excellent place to shop online - and not just in January!

What I Wore Today #30

Hey guys!
Wanted to show you this super cute outfit, I'm seriously in love with it!
I feel like a snow bunny wearing this fluffy faux fur gilet! I paired it with a pink long sleeve top, some silver accessories, a cute lucite pink heart shaped necklace and crystal embellished thigh high boots!
Hope you like it!

I will be away for a few days, but I'll be back shortly with a brand new for sale post, where I'll be posting some new items that I'd like to sell. I'm completely cleaning out my closet as I said in my previous post, so there will be lots and lots of lil treasures to choose from!

My perfume collection / favorite scents / fragrance reviews!

What would a personal fashion & beauty blog be without a perfume post?!

I'm absolutely addicted to perfume. I love it so much that it doesn't matter where I am, I always find myself sprinkling my favorite scents all over me. I could never leave the house without it, and I think no woman should exit without using any either!
Coco Chanel once famously said "A woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future." I have to agree! It's just a vital part of a womans everyday routine.

I get tons of questions and compliments about what kind of perfume I'm always wearing, which is always a different one actually, depending on my mood. If I'm feeling playful or really happy and full of joy, I'll wear something more fun and fruity. If I'm in more serious kind of mood, I'll choose a much stronger scent. I think it's definitely fun mixing up your perfumes everyday! I can just never get enough of the lovely scents, and I wish I could just sprinkle all of them on myself! Haha!

It's no secret that I love perfume and everyone I know is aware of that, that's why for birthdays or Christmas time, someone always gets me perfume! It makes me happy because its not a useless present that you use in a short while, they last ages, and as I said previously, they are a vital essential to a woman's everyday needs!

Anyway, I wanted show you guys which ones were my absolutely favorites, and as you can see I have taken a picture of my little perfume area too, so you can visualize it as well!
I also decided to write a rewiew on each of the frangrances I owned, I figured it could be a help to anyone who is looking for a new perfume or just wants to try something different out.

Let's start off with:

My absolute favorite: Thierry Mugler - Womanity
To me, this scent is the epitome of womanity, just like the name of the perfume. It makes a statement when you wear it, its both fruity, sweet  and savory at the same time, its hard to explain what it smells like exactly, but to me its the perfect unique mix of those 3 accords. It is described as fruity Mara des Bois strawberry, sweet white fig, and last but not least savory caviar. Yes, caviar! Which I think makes it smell so unique. It definitely can't be compared to any other perfume in my opinion. I am on my 3rd 100ml bottle now, and there is no question that it will always be my favorite. I always always get asked what I'm wearing when this is on me, I just love it!

My newest addition: Jimmy Choo
I am a big lover of Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb perfume, but unfortunately it's very hard to get ahold of it here where I live. When I was based in Australia, it was one of my favorite everyday scents, but its just too much hassle trying to find a store that sells it here, because its just practically impossible!
It makes me really sad, but the fact that Jimmy Choo's new perfume is basically a dupe for it makes it all better! I've wanted this perfume for a while now, and I was lucky enough to receive it for Christmas this year. It is the ultimate glamorous perfume for me! If perfume could have attitude, this would be it! I would say the scent is rather fruity with a deep woody base.  I love super sweet smells and this is kind of like caramel toffee to me, it's very fresh & vibrant at the same time, I would just describe it as: the utlimate Confidence.

Love at first smell: D&G - 3 L'IMPÉRATRICE
I squealed with joy when I first noticed D&G's brand new perfumes at stores, and I immediately had to try all of them out! What caught my eye the most though, was number 3. I would describe this as a very fruity, watery, fresh scent! It reminds me of watermelon and kiwi sorbet, and what's to love about this even more if that it doesn't smell synthetic. Some perfumes just smell like... too much, to fake. This smells expensive! And to top it all off, it is unisex also, which weirds me out a bit since it's so sweet, I just don't know if I can imagine a guy wearing this. Anyway, it still tops my top 5 perfumes that's for sure!

Truly a treasure: Lancome - Trésor Midnight Rose
I received this perfume from my boyfriend for my birthday, and I have to say, I'm addicted to it!
As you may have realized already, I just love violently fruity, sweet scents, and this is definitely it! To me, it smells like a mix between raspberries and blueberries, with a touch of vanilla, pink pepper & musk. The heart of it is actually floral - jasmine & peony, which I don't notice that much, maybe because I'm just too disctracted by the fruityness. Anyway, if you like berries and sweet fruity scents with a touch of vanilla & a floral base, then you'll love absolutely this!

Not my typical choice: Brithey Spears - Midnight Fantasy
Ok, I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of celebrity scents, but my best friend had Fantasy, which is the original scent Britney released. After she purchased it, she made me smell it and to my surprise, it was great! I decided to try Midnight Fantasy as well, and I definitely fell in love with this more than Fantasy, the pink bottle version, which is kind of like a mix of red lychee, exotic kiwi, and chocolatey cupcakes with creamy musk base. Sounds good doesn't it? But to me, the purple bottled yummyness is much more charming! It smells like a mixture of black cherry, strawberry, plum, with a vanilla musk. Like some kind of delicious candy! Some would describe this perfume as too sugary & cheap smelling, very syrupy, but I just love it! It's like a fruit cocktail, you just want to eat/drink it!

Yet another fruity goodness: Escada - Moon Sparkle
I promise there will be some more florally scents as well, but for now I have to introduce to you another very fruity berry-like perfume, Escada's Moon Sparkle!
I would say this perfume is very similar to Lancome's Tresór Midnight Rose and Britney's Midnight Fantasy, maybe because of the berry scent it has. It's much softer and not so artificial as Britney's perfumes though, but still there are people that don't really take Escada perfumes seriously, some would say they smell too cheap and trashy, but I just love all of them! I want to eat all of them, the fruity goodness is just too good!
One sniff of this purple bottled scent and you'll feel like you're on vacation on a tropical island! To me it smells like black currant, delicious apples and strawberries, but mainly the black currant, that's what I notice first. It is definitely different to other Escada perfumes, as the citrusy note isn't as prominent.

A very unique scent: Gucci - Eau De Parfum II
This was a present from one of my friends, and if it wasn't for them, I'm not too sure whether I would have bought this myself. I am absolutely in love with this and cannot compare it with any other perfume I've smelt before, and it's not the typical smell that I love, but it's very unique and hard to describe what it reminds me of, its kind of minty to me, if that makes sense, not extra sweet like most of my other perfumes, althought it is described as a mix of black currant, mandarin, bitter orange, violet and black berry. I think the first thing I notice is the citrusy smell, and then it fades into the violet and blackberry notes. It's very clean and delicate at the same time. It's very lovely in my opinion, and if I run out of it, I am definitely repurchasing!

Sweet surprise: Estee Lauder - Pleasures Delight
When I think of Estee Lauder, her older and more classic fragnances immediately come to mind, although this new scent which was released in 2007 is surprisingly different from what we're used to.
It's smells like rich caramel, strawberry icecream, marshmallows, pomegranate, and sugared rose petals. It is more delicate, sophisticated and powdery than all the other sweet perfumes I have, and that's why this is one of my favorite as well! I love wearing this!

Love-affair: Nina Ricci - Nina
This perfume is just too cute! I fell in love with the bottle first, and after smelling it, I just fell even more in love with it!
It is fruity and sweet, but it's more citrusy at first, like lemon candy, with calabrian lemon and caipirinha lime, and then it settles into a sweet vanilla infused caramel-style toffee apple, just like the bottle! It reminds me of fairy floss & candy shops, it's a truly lovely fragnance, one of my favorites as well!

I also have  Love by Nina, the green apple, Le Paradis de Nina, the soft pink apple, and Nina L'elixir in a small bottle version, which came in a set, and I have to say I love those also!
Love by Nina is sweet and girly, and delicate, its very fresh and light and smells like grannysmith apples, almond, frangpipani and cherry blossoms!
Le Paradis De Nina is also a very girly scent, but its very light and almost fluffy, if we can say that. Instead of a heavy syrup, this fragrance is like a thin layer of icing sugar on a vanilla cupcake.

The conclusion of it all is, that Nina Ricci can do no wrong in my opinion! All her perfumes are fun, sweet and girly!  I love them!

The perfect summer scent: Moschino - Funny!
I'm so happy my mom got me this perfume, it's my absolute favorite summer fragrance!
It's a really fresh citrussy scent, mainly fruity bitter orange with a hint of pepper, and a clean musky base, peonies & green tea. It smells sooo good, especially on a hot summer day. One spritz of this and I instantly feel so much fresher & more alive! It's a really fun & vivacious scent, I'm in love with it.

Always a classic: Chanel - Chance
When I think of perfume, Chanel immediately comes to mind.
No. 5 was the first ever perfume produced by Chanel, and it has been a number 1 seller ever since, for decades! As a fun fact, Marilyn Monroe allegadly wore it too, she once said in an interview! It was said to be one of her favorite scents. My mom uses No. 5, and a lot of other Chanel goodies, it's the only scents she uses, and I have to say I also really love the No. 5, it is such a classic timeless fragrance. You can immediately tell someone is wearing this, it's just so genuine and one of a kind.

I feel like Chanel Chance is more my style though, it's a big younger than No. 5, and I love using this when I want to be a bit more elegant or when I have to go to an event. It reminds me of my mom in all ways, and I have to say the lasting power for Chanel fragrances is insane! One spray on your coat or scarf or any piece of clothing, and it'll be there forever! The smell to me is a bit peppery and spicy, with traces of soft floral notes.  It is very oriental with hints of patchouli. What I've noticed is that men always seem to compliment when I wear this. I think the main reason is because it's a very powerful, elegant & sophisticated feminine scent that men also love on women.

The ones I mentioned above are my absolute favorites, which means I would and I am indeed going to repurchase all of them once I run out!
Now, there are some other scents I also have, I wouldn't buy them again, but I will write a review on them too.

They are:

Cartier - Delicés de Cartier
This is probably my least favorite of the sweet, fruity perfumes I have, maybe because it's a much deeper and stronger scent, it's very rich, but then again, what do we expect from Cartier? It smells very intense, like juicy red cherries and subtle vanilla. Kind of like chomping into a big toffee apple or eating glazed cherries, but its just still too rich & deep for me. Not too bad, I just prefer the other ones over this though!

Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherié
I can't really decide if I love this or hate this. When I was younger, I definitely adored this perfume, but nowadays I just don't really think too much of it.
This fragrance is described as a very feminine scent, florally with some sweet caramel popcorn & some fruity notes, but this just doesn't do it for me. I don't smell any of that. What I notice first is the woodyness and floral notes. I would say it's a very light, almost transparent floral scent, that is more lady like than girly.
Overall it's a good perfume, I just wish I could smell the sweet side of it more.

Gucci - Envy Me
I have a love/hate relationship with this perfume also, like the Miss Dior Cherié.
It's not the typical perfume I would expect from Gucci. It's crisp, clean and fresh, to me it smells like shampoo or some kind of hair product. To be honest, I just really dislike the floral notes. It's a mix of tangy pineapple, which you can definitely smell at first, mango, pomegrenate, pink pepper and peonies, while the drydown is supported by a powdery rose note. It's good, but I wouldn't call it my favorite. I prefer my other perfumes to this!

Marc Jacobs - Lola
I asked for this for my birthday last year, because of all the hype it got when it first came out, but I just really dislike this perfume now. I have used it maybe twice, or three times the most. It's just so unflattering in my opinion. Ok, and I admit, I fell in love with the beautiful big flower bottle, it's so amazing, I had to have it, and based on everyone's feedback I thought the perfume will be just as amazing as well. Shame the smell is just terrible though. I really can't say anything good about this fragrance, I really dislike everything about it.
It's so strong and intense, I cannot really make out what it smells like. It is described as pink peppercorn, pear and ruby red grapefruit, which I can definitely smell, and I just really dislike grapefruit, so I guess that explains why I'm not too keen on this product. The base notes are creamy musk, vanilla & tonka beans, which I can definitely smell too, I just don't think it's a good mix. It's more like a great big mess to me. Sorry, MJ!

Marc Jacobs - Daisy
Like all Marc Jacobs fragrances, the bottle design of this is just so pretty! But sadly, that's about it for me.
This perfume to me, smells like bath soap. It's too grassy & florally, way too light & clean for my liking. It is described as having strawberry, violet leaf and ruby red grapefruit as the top notes, gardenia, which I can totally smell, violet petals and jasmine as the middle notes, and finally musk, white woods and vanilla as the base. Overall, this has to be my most disliked scent of all the ones I own.

Vera Wang - Flower Princess
The bottle of this perfume is the prettiest thing I've ever seen! Just like the name says, it is fit for every girl who has ever dreamed of being a Princess! Unfortunately, it stops right there for me. I first saw this fragrance on board a flight me and my mom were on, we immediately fell in love with it, and without smelling it, my mom decided to buy it. Worst decision ever made! I've used this product ONCE, and never again. It's just terrible to me, even worse than Marc Jacobs Daisy. All I smell is freshly cut grass & too many flowers, it makes me cringe. I'm sorry to everyone who owns this and happens to love it, I don't mean to offend anyone, but this has got to be the worst scent I've ever tried.
I knew I should have gotten Princess, the purple version, instead of this flower bomb.

I think I mentioned all the perfumes that I currently own above and which you can see on the pictures as well! I have tried several other ones in the past, like J'Adore Dior, Versace Bright Crystal, Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise, Dior Addict 2, Dior Star, Dior Forever & Ever, lots of Chanels, No. 5, Mademoiselle, Coco Noir, several Escada scents, and God knows how many more! I'm too obsessed, like I said! Haha!

I hope this post was a help to anyone who wants to try out something new & is looking for a review or just a quick opinion. Of course, you'll have to smell the perfume on yourself, its the most important step when purchasing a new fragrance, because honestly, it smells different on everyone.

If any of you own any of these perfumes, leave a comment & let me know which one your favorite is!
Or maybe suggest me one that you think I'd like?! :O I'm open for suggestions!

Nails My Way #17

So I have become a huge fan of gel nails, and I have to say I'm crazy addicted to them! I have tried out several styles, but I just have so many more in my mind that I want to do! They are just amazing, last ages, up to 4-5 weeks to be exact, don't chip, fade, break, etc. I am simply in love with them.
I will be doing a post on each of the different styles I've had in the past!

This time, it's a combination of cute bows, gold glitter & leopard print!

I haven't posted a nail look in forever, and the main reason is because I was always working, and by the time I remembered that I should have take a picture of them, I had already changed the design! Eek! Sorry about that!

Last week, I got a new design though, I got a bit inspired by my love for leopard print & the colour... well, I decided to go with nude because its just so feminine and it goes with everything! Definitely one of my favorite shades when it comes to nails. I love anything gold, glittery, and its definitely a plus if it has bows & leopard print in it! Haha! Hope you guys like it & I can't wait to show you my next design! I've already made up my mind about what they'll look like, but shhh, I'm not telling just yet! You'll see...

My Christmas - 2012

I hope you guys all had a lovely Christmas!
I wasn't really in the festive spirit this year, like all the previous years, maybe because my dad wasn't here to celebrate it with us, but it was still a beautiful few days and I can proudly say I did a lot of Christmas related things, like bake all kinds of goodies & of course wrap up all the presents I got for everyone!

I put together a little post for you guys so you can also see how I spent my holidays! <3

Our beautiful tree, which is actually 18th years old this year! It's a faux tree, meaning its not real, but its just so pretty and I cant believe how long we've had it for, along with the decorations on it! So cute! It was in my room like every year, which I just love, because it gives me such a good feeling everything I walk in and look at it, and the lights on the tree are just so pretty too!
These are all the presents I wrapped and decorated by myself! All the bows were made by me individually. I personally couldnt wait for this part of Christmas, gift wrapping is one of my favorite things to do! Im always feeling so creative, I love doing things like this! I tried makinng everyones present as much their personality as I could, I think the end results definitely reflect this! :)
Here's some of the yummy baked goodies I made! This one's a hungarian specialty called mézes puszedli, which is like gingerbread but much softer, it is made of lots of honey and cinnamon, it has such a Christmassy taste, and then its topped off with delicious icing! Mine were all different shapes, stars, bunnies, hearts, snowmen, christmas trees! Haha! These honey kisses are one of my favorites at this time of the year!
This one here is our special orange & ginger slice, it is packed with both fresh ginger & yummy orange, it is so so good!
I also made gingerbread, like every year of course! This time I decorated them with all our names and made them into a heart shape! Mmmm.
This was a big favorite of everyone, I made this for a lot of guests who came over for dinner, and they absolutely loved it! I call them pinecone cheese balls, they are made of fresh cheddar& onion cheese spread & then decorated with almonds! So fun!
And lastly, our traditional Christmas fruit cake, which I just cant get enough it! It has all kinds of fruits in it and lots of walnuts! Too good!

PS - If you guys want the recipe to any of the desserts, let me know! I'll do an individual post about it for you if any of you want to know! They are all absolutely delicious!

Boyfriend Style

I was just looking at my boyfriend while he was getting dressed the other day... I have to say I love his style & if I was a boy, I would definitely dress like him! We're like the boy & girl version of each other, which I love!
Anyway, while he was carefully choosing his outfit for the day, I came up with the idea that I'm going to feature him on my blog, since he doesn't want to start a blog of his own! I've been nagging him for the past 3 years to make a fashion/style blog, there's not many boys out there that run a site like that nowadays. Oh well, if he won't make one, I'll put him on mine!

So here he is with his outfit of the day!

Jacket: ZARA (last season)
Sunglasses: ZARA
Trousers: ZARA
Shoes: ZARA

New Purchases: Gold & More Gold.

There are actually a lot, and I mean a lot of things I bought in the past few months, and to tell you the truth, I haven't really done a post about them, which I'm sure you have noticed.
So now I will just do a quick post of 2 things I bought from my favorite store ZARA in recent weeks, and some more posts later when I have some time to take photos of everything! :)

First up is this adorable gold glitter loafer. I have wanted this the first second I layed my eyes on it! I have always wanted a cute slipper, but never really found the perfect one, until I stepped into ZARA. I've tried several styles, colours, etc, but they were all really uncomfortable.

It also came in silver, but I'm a golden girl, all my bags, accessories, everything is gold, so there is no wonder why I got this colour! I'm really thinking about the silver as well, it would be cute with all my outfits & the few silver hardware bags I have. And it's more glam in my opinion!

The other thing I got was these gold studded gloves, well, actually, ny boyfriend bought these since he knew how much I wanted them. I saw them last year in store, but they sold out in a heartbeat, so I was really happy to see these back in stock this year!
PS - I have done a post about Phillip Lim's studded babies a while ago, you might remember these beauties from there, if not, then keep reading!

I first saw a similar pair on Kim Kardashian & Beyonce and I immediately knew I had to have them too! It took me 2 years to actually find a pair, but I'm so happy it's finally mine!
As you can see, Phillip Lim's version is studded all-over, unlike the ZARA one which doesn't have studs on the fingers, but I think it's still gorgeous:
ZARA's studded gloves from last years collection:
And finally, two longer styles! J'adore them. <3

LOVE: Lush Cosmetics

First off, if you have no idea what Lush Cosmetics is then you probably won't know what this post is about either, so let me introduce them to you:

Some quick info from their official website:
We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.
We invent our own products and fragrances, we make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients and tell you when they were made.
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.
We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
*We also believe words like 'Fresh' and 'Organic' have an honest meaning beyond marketing.

In a nutshell, Lush is a cosmetics brand that sells fresh handmade products. They are one of the few companies which don't test on animals, and they only use all-natural vegetarian ingredients with little or no preservaties at all.
If you want a break from all the chemicals and are sick of the fact that most brands test their products on animals, or just want to try something new - then Lush is for you!

I have to say, I have been a fan of Lush eversince they opened their first store here.
I have tried a few products in the past, mainly soaps & facial cleansers, and a few lip scrubs but now that Christmas is here I felt the need to treat myself to some more amazing goodies.

I ordered the following items this week & can't wait to receive them! :
Snow Fairy hair & shower gel, which is actually limited edition, and I'm so happy it's back for Christmas!
It's not only pink, but it also has glitter in it AND smells like cotton candy! The ultimate girly treat for every lady out there! Washing yourself with this is just so good, everytime I open the bottle, I just want to eat the whole thing!
Godmother & RockStar soap - These two soaps are my absolute favorites! I have tried a few others, but these two are what I fancy the most. Pink & girly yet again, they smell of sweet delicious candy & fruity vanilla goodness! They both make my skin feel so soft & I smell amazing everytime I use this! Love them!
I haven't tried this product yet as it is fairly new, but it immediately caught my eye when I first spotted it in store. I am a big fan of highlighters, and I'm certain that this little pot is simply magic! I swiped it on my hand several times and it's just gorgeous! Use it for under the eyes, on your browbone, eyelids, or on the cheeks, and even on your décolletage for some sexy shimmer - it works all ways.
One thing is for sure, after using this I will bound to feel younger just like the name tells me! Can't wait to try!
I've been wanting to try Lush hair care for the longest time now, I don't even know why I haven't bought any yet, but I just ordered this shampoo which contains a whole lot of amazing things like coconut, cocoa butter, shea buter, jojoba oil, avocado butter (all kinds of butters really), olive oil, eggs, papaya and freshly squeezed lemon juice and is said to work wonders on curls! Of course it works on all kinds of hair, straight, wavy, etc, but it is mainly designed for curly haired beauties! It will definitely give you that extra bounce without weighing your hair down.
As an added bonus, this product does not contain preservatives. Sounds good to me!
Another hair care product, and to match my shampoo I chose this lovely condition. It's called American Cream and it smells of vanilla strawberry milkshake! Can you say YUM?! I think I'm going to have a hard time trying not to eat this while conditioning my hair with it! It is a combination of honey, strawberries and fresh orange juice, mmmm.
I have really thick course hair, and I tend to get split ends, and also have the tendecy to forget to cut and freshen up my hair from time to time. That's exactly why I chose this "balm" designed for split ends.
It contains extra virgin olive oil, shea butter, grapefruit oil, rosewood oil, fresh eggs and gardenia extract. Hope it will work wonders on my rebellious hair!
I always have a can or bottle of dry shampoo at home. Not because I don't like washing my hair, but because I'm a busy girl and have no time to wash my hair as much as I want to. Sometimes I have work day after day after day and washing my long, thick hair can take up to 2 hours, which I often don't have. I have tried a lot of brands, but I'm hoping that Lush's No Drought won't disappoint!
Some extra info: it contains a light lovely fragrance of lemon, grapefruit and lime that leaves you with fresh, good as new hair that not only looks, but smells great too!
My lips are always, and I mean always dry and flaky after a while. Probably from all the lipstick, and the cold weather doesn't help either. If you're like me and need a good lip scrub then this is definitely for you! I have this in bubblegum flavor already, but the only problem with that one is that it really makes my head ache. The scent is super yummy, but so strong that I feel drowsy immediately after applying. That's why I decided to order this new Christmas edition which is actually a salt-caramel popcorn flavor with popping candy sweetness. Sounds delicious!
And if that's not enough, you could even eat it. Serious! It contains coconut, jojoba oils, sugar, sea salt & polenta & it's the perfect mix to buff your lips to perfection and leave them smooth and moisturised.
This product promises to lift dirt, grease and even makeup from your skin, without actually stripping away your skin's natural defences. I used to use Lush's infamous Baby Face facial cleanser, but since they discountinued it, I have no choice but to try another one out.
What's super good about it is that it is designed for EVERY skin type! It contains rose water which reduces the redness of your skin and balances it out while calming it. The honey in it soothes and moisturises and it is also a great antiseptic. And to top it all off, the fresh irises steeped in almond oil are ancient skin beautifying ingredients.

Solid toothpaste? Yes! There is such thing! Lush have come up with a fantastic alternative for toothpaste, and its these amazing "Toothy Tabs" which cleanse not only your tooth but your palates as well!
They come in all kinds of flavors - this one, called Sparkle, is a vanilla flavor with lemon, grapefruit & spicy black pepper! There are 40 tabletts in each package, but you only need about half for one use!Oh and did I mention they make your teeth super white & sparkly too?! I'm very excited to try these!
I'm a big fan of Lush hair products already, even though I haven't even tried them yet!
This sea salt spray sounds absolutely amazing and definitely a must for everyone who loves to care for their hair. Combined of sea salt, sea water and seaweed, this spritz holds hair in place, adds shine and gives body for a beautiful beachy look! As an added bonus, orange flower, grapefruit, neroli and rosewood blend perfumes the spray. Sounds lovely!

It might look rather weird at first, but what this ball of green is is a stimulating ginger & fennel sugar scrub!
What is it good for? Well, these scrubs are tough on cellulite and unwanted bumps, but kind on your skin. It doesn't waste any time getting down to business, it exfoliates & stimulates with ingredients like ginger, fair trade sugar, lavender and fresh fennel!

I've never really used any facial cleansers or products before. I'm not really a fan of putting chemicals on my face, ok, well besides makeup... I do that for a living and enjoy it, but the idea of putting fresh handmade organic products on it that are great for your skin, now I think that's a much better idea!
There aren't many toners on the market that doesn't have skin-irritating alcohol in it, so I'm thankful for Lush for making this product. This tea tree water toner spray is a great antiseptic due to the tea tree oil in it, which clears out blemishes, and also grapefruit and juniper oil which helps balance your skins oil production. One spritz of this after you cleanse your face, and you're done!

I know that I already ordered a cleanser from them (Ultrabland), but I just can't leave this Ocean Salt face scrub behind! It just sounds too good for me not to buy it!
It is one of Lush's no. 1 products, with coconut cream & avocado, which help hydrate thirsty skin, sea salt for scrubbing away dead skin and dirt, and finally lime & vodka (yes, vodka!), which are also ideal for blocked pores, blackheads and blemishes!
No wonder this is one of the best products they have!

PS - Review of the items I've already tried from Lush: COMING SOON later this week!
Have you tried any? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
